Warmest greetings to you. We are Mike and Sean. We want to thank you for taking your time to read our story. We want to acknowledge your courage for choosing adoption for your child and to give your child the opportunity to be loved by adoptive parents. We are ready to be parents, and we want to be better people by learning to love a child. We promise to love your child unconditionally and raise your child to be a respectful, loving, cheerful person who will appreciate the life you have given him/her. About Us…
We met 16 years ago online and today we are still going strong living in Florida. We
both love learning about different cultures and have a big curiosity of seeing different parts of the world. Having traveled to so many different places has opened our eyes to see the world in a different lens. “Life is not measured by the breath you take, but it is measured by the moment that takes your breath away”. One of our favorite quotes we live by every day.
Mike works as a Training Manager in the healthcare industry and his favorite hobby is to play games on his iPad, traveling and foreign languages. He loves gadgets, technology and has a great love of Star Trek. Sean works as an Interior Designer and has a creative heart and passion for art and design. He loves photography, the theater, cooking and traveling.
Our Home and Pets…
Our fur child, Emma is 11, she is still acting like a puppy and she still looks like one. She LOVES to give kisses to people. Every morning, she pounces on the bed, wags her tail and gives kisses on our noses to wake us up. We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 story townhome in Florida. The neighborhood is a nice area with a great school system being centrally located by retail stores, grocery stores and other boutique type shops and it’s only 45 minutes to Disney.
Our Family…
Sean’s younger brother lives in New York. Throughout the year, we try to visit each other back and forth between NY and Florida. His mom lives 5 minutes away from our house. Mike has two older sisters that also live in NY with two beautiful nieces who are 11 and 9. His mom and step dad live about 45 minutes away from our house. We also have a group of the best of friends that we call family. We see each other on the weekends, having dinner and we also travel together. We thoroughly enjoy our time with our family throughout the year and especially during the holidays, enjoying family traditions.
Our Journey to Adoption…
Throughout our ups and downs in life, we have always been there for each other and have realized that our life is not complete without a family. We want to be dads. Both of us dream about the first time hearing a child call us Dad, sitting at the dining room table doing homework on a Thursday night, making pancakes, having family breakfast on a Saturday morning, and the three of us snuggling in bed on a lazy Sunday morning, These are a few of the little moments that we dream of.
We are ready to grow our family and nurture a new life. We have several close friends who are either adopted or who have adopted children and they have shared their story with us of learning that life can be just as wonderful being adopted or adopting. That gave us the extra courage and support which has brought us here to share our story with you and we are hoping that one day, soon, we will be adoptive parents.
