Dear Mom,
We hope it’s OK to call you mom, because if we are lucky enough to be parents to your child, you are the only mom they will ever have. Sure, they will have a loving grandmother and doting aunts, but you will always be their mother. As a gay couple we are thankful that the world has a strong, open-minded woman like you who is willing to consider helping us expand our family.We are committed to open adoption, so whatever level of contact you decide to have, we want your child to always know who nurtured them for months and brought them into this world.
About Us…
We are Bryan and Jon. When we met we had an instant connection. Jon told Bryan after 3 weeks of dating that he knew they would one day be married. Bryan proposed on Christmas a couple years later and we were married the following September. Bryan grew up near our home and is the General Manager of a local pet store where he has worked since he was 16! Driving through town is like a history lesson as Bryan points out local attractions and shares childhood memories. Bryan loves animals and fantasy movies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Jon grew up in a small coastal town. Summers were spent boating and playing on the beach. He is an Account Manager for a small financial firm that provides a flexible schedule and the ability to work from home part time. Jon loves reading, everything Disney and singing along to the radio. His favorite movie is Pitch Perfect.
Our Home and Pets…
We adopted our cat, Nala, shortly before our wedding. Our son, Jackson, joined the family last year. They are best buddies and enjoy rolling around on the floor together. We would love to add another child to our family soon and someday a dog too! Jackson is a happy, sweet boy who’s always laughing. We know he will make an incredible big brother. Our home is in a small New England community perfect for raising a family. Our location provides endless options for fun activities. A beautiful lake with walking trails and a playground is right down the street. We are also a short drive to gorgeous beaches, peaceful mountains and exciting cities. There’s always something new to explore.
Our Family…
Our close-knit family with 6 nieces and nephews is the most important part of our lives and we spend as much time with them as possible. We are very fortunate to have all of our family living nearby. We also have a large network of lifelong friends with about a dozen honorary nieces and nephews. Our favorite pastimes with loved ones are annual camping trips, cookouts, game nights and spending time in the beautiful nature surrounding us.
Our Journey to Adoption…
We discussed our desire to have children early on in our relationship. Because we each knew individually that it was so important to us, we wanted to make sure we were on the same page from the start. Luckily it was just another thing that we agreed on. Being fathers was one of the biggest goals of our lives and we set out to make it happen soon after we were married. Adopting Jackson has been the greatest thing we have ever done and we look forward to expanding our family through adoption again. Ours is a life filled with love, laughter and joy. Our dream is to share those things and all of life’s experiences with our children.We hope this helps give you some idea of who we are and the life we will provide.
